Illustrated this beautiful Photo montage created by @drushtiikon , one of my favourite artist and a very kind human I found through Instagram :') Wanted to keep the illustration as raw as possible and to depict the mood of the pictures. I also had an amazing time playing with the sepia-ish tones. Thank you Chinmayee for letting me do this :') ❤️ Illustration: Yours truly. Month by month things are losing their hardness; even my body now lets the light through; my spine is soft like wax near the flame of the candle. I dream; I dream. - Virginia Woolf, The Waves #selfportraiture

I know I've surely lost a lot of people in life. But you know, I really don't care as long as I have you by my side. To lifting each other up through all those absurd phases of lives, living it up and becoming these daughters our fathers unfortunately couldn't see. To relating each other's lives on a whole different level. And I know I don't even need to say this again, so many times to you, but this over-sensitive bitch couldn't stop, sorry. You are special ❤️ Happy Happy Birthday @typo.kom I'm proud of you! ❤️ I live for your eye-rolls.

What sense does it make that I couldn't follow the Inktober prompt list curated by myself? But oh well, something is better than nothing. #InktoberTSS @thesurrealstudio Day 12 - Feelings / Day 19 - Caged Looks like Quarantine and a muse made me write, and then I had to sketch it out.

I am gone quite mad with the knowledge of accepting the overwhelming number of things I can never know, places I can never go, and people I can never be. -Sylvia Plath. Rajasthan, January 2019.

A few pictures of the new products launched last weekend at @thesurrealstudio I know I'm nowhere close with what we want to do at @thesurrealstudio but I'm quite glad for taking this leap in the middle of a pandemic, even if it involved taking a pause from my freelance for a while to set this up, because if the world seemed to be ending I would much rather use whatever time I have to do this one thing I've always wanted to do, which would put all my creative juices to use in one place - art creation and art curation on my own platform, to support my own art as well as artists from the community. Adversities can make you realize many things. 'If not now, then when?' this was my takeaway. I know I'm nowhere close to how I want it to function and what I want to do here, but I can only trust this is the beginning and it can only get better. We have also set up our shop through @etsy & @etsyin for selling internationally now *fingers crossed*🤞🏼✨ and we still have our website for Indian buyers. I am also quite overwhelmed by the response on the Inktober prompt list that we curated, taking in consideration for what is just a start. A few more things will be coming up mid-November. And I'm gearing up with @typo.kom for creating some cool filters and a few other things which are in the line. You can find the link to both the portals - Indian deliveries and International deliveries in @thesurrealstudio 's bio. Support and surprise me?

Once
by mistake
she tore a map
in half.
She taped it back,
but crookedly.
Now all the roads ended in water.
There were mountains
right next to her hometown.

Wouldn't that be nice
if it were true?
I'd tear a map and be right next
to you.

@moonshinemeadery put out this amazing brief crowdsourcing for their packaging label of the new grilled pineapple mead, and I couldn't help but participate!✨

So here goes my illustrated entry with @moonshinemeadery and @junglegymstudio for the grilled pineapple mead
- Fun visuals evocative of late evening Caribbean tropical vibe, derived from the tartness of fiery smoked pineapple and sweetness of honey! 💛

Special Thanks to @sachit_chainani for suggesting me to participate! 🌝

once upon a time i decided love was too much like drowning made myself an island where if i scream out the ocean swallows entire cities until i see my suffering is small enough to cradle before miracles went extinct... — poems to carry in your pocket, Laura Villareal

You know, it's not the world that was my oppressor, because what the world does to you, if the world does it to you long enough and effectively enough, you begin to do to yourself. You become a collaborator, an accomplice to your own murderers, because you believe the same things they do. - James Baldwin, A Dialogue

I am so busy. I am practicing my new hobby of watching me become someone else. There is so much violence in reconstruction. Each minute is grisly, but I have to participate. I am building what I cannot break. - The Sun is still a part of me, Jennifer Willoughby #selfportraiture #musings #mymusings #advancedselfie #selfportrait @briannadawes_
