they said romanticize your life... ...so I wore red and pretended to look dreamy like they do in bollywood movies🥰 did it work??
tell me you’re a child at heart without telling me you’re a child at heart🧒🏽 soo this colorful “Wood of Nets” playground in the Hakone Open-Air Museum got my inner child very excited! 🌈 shoutout to my parents for being patient with my photography needs! look at these angles👌🏽👏🏽
Quick! take a wild guess: how many lights are lit at this place? . . . Answer: approximately SIX MILLION LED lights!! The Sagamiko Illumination in Kanagawa prefecture is one of the biggest winter illuminations in Japan! The park has 10 zones with different themes, a Rainbow Lift🌈, and a Light Ferris Wheel🎡 For the Pokémon fans: they have a new Pokémon themed area this year! The illuminations are lit up until April 4th so check it out!!✨ You can also take a day trip here to enjoy the nature and other fun attractions before the illuminations are lit up!
cooler than the other side of your pillow seriously though, how cool is this office building!! I’m so glad I finally got to check out this famous building filled with so many colors🌈 If you could describe yourself with a color, which color would you choose? . . . . . #tokyo #東京 #japan #日本 #exploretokyo #browngirlbloggers #southasianblogger #desiinfluencer #tokyoinsta #contentcreator #girlssupportinggirls #desibloggers #discoverunder3k #microinfluencer #discovertokyo #indianinjapan #hiddengems #外国人 #外人 #odaiba #tokyotokyo #instajapan #japanphotography #thesoho #tokyolife #travelgirls #whenindiantravel #magicwithmolly #travelgirlshub #travelwithme
I don’t care how old I am, I’ll still find merry-go-rounds magical🎠✨ Started thinking about Disneyland as I’m writing this caption💭 What’s your favorite Disney ride? #tokyo #東京 #japan #日本 #exploretokyo #browngirlbloggers #southasianblogger #desiinfluencer #poseideas #contentcreator #femalebloggers #desibloggers #discoverunder3k #microinfluencer #discovertokyo #indian #indianinjapan #hiddengems #外国人 #外人 #yokohama #merrygoround #carousel #tokyotokyo #instajapan #japanphotography #leatherjacket #peachbbabe #girlstraveler
illumination spotting has been my favorite activity this winter✨ All smiles because I got really excited about the lights even though it started raining😆 This is the street next to Yokohama Minaromirai! Due to the pandemic, all the lights are turned off at 8pm. #peachbbabe
If you look really closely it’s me in the picture...but if you look a little more closely you can see all my swag😌🥶 You’d be surprised to know that this is an office building (a very aesthetically pleasing one). #indianinjapan #rakutentravel
Roppongi illuminations in the winter is beautiful🗼✨ Here is a glimpse of an amazing date with my kindergarten friends @kcmaries and @lina_jpg in 2020❤️ We ice skated at Tokyo Midtown, walked around Roppongi Hills and completed our day with Ramen 🍜 at Afuri (vegan option available) and some delicious cinnamon rolls at @cinnabon 😋 . . . . .
Pat yourself on the back for getting through 2020! Here’s to 2021✨ Hope you all are able to achieve whatever it is that you set your mind to! Keep going!!❤️💪🏽
Hopping on the trend but with a view🌃 As I was scrolling on TikTok, I kept seeing videos saying “this is your sign to go take photos at a empty car parking” so here it is! You can see a view of Rainbow Bridge in the back!🤩 I would definitely recommend Toyosu for a chill day of shopping and exploring. Maybe a Krispy Kreme donut too🍩😋
I love being able to just get on my bicycle and then pretend to be a tourist in my own neighborhood🙈 I get asked for rickshaw rides all the time over here but I never went for it. Probably should though! The fact that this was my first time at this viewing point shows how much my love for exploring grew in the couple of years!🥰 I’m curious, have you ever been mistaken for a tourist where you live?
the cold never bothered me anyway ...something you’ll never hear me say UNLESS I’m singing Let It Go at karaoke ofc🙈 Now that the festive season is around the corner, I might have to start exploring in the night time (in warmer clothes) for the beautiful illuminations around the city✨ If you look closely, this building had lights hanging around the railings as well! I didn’t get to see them, but I’m so ready to walk around🤩 What’s your favorite part about the festive season?🕎🎄🎉🎊🧧🎍
Chinatown is always a good place to be at😌 Can we just talk about how beautiful, vibrant and intricate their architecture is??🤩 This was from when it was just the right temperature to get out and explore. Now that it’s getting colder, it’s getting more difficult to step out without having my fingers and toes freeze🥶😩 Are you a winter person?🌨☃️❄️
hi, so I treated myself today because I’m finally done with the semester!!🎉 Got some delicious Mexican food with a friend at @haciendadelcielo and explored the area! I don’t know how I managed to not see so much of Tokyo!! Do you also feel like you haven’t been able to explore where you live? Also, if you’re a student (even if you’re not), I dare you to treat yourself after you end this rollercoaster of a semester/year!!❤️ #peachbbabe
would rather be on a man-made beach right now than be studying for finals🙈 Believe it or not, I can’t remember the last time I went on a proper beach trip. Going to have to wait until next summer😩 What’s your favorite thing to do on a beach?🏖
a little something from the neighborhood I love very mochi🥰 If I’m ever given the responsibility to show someone around Tokyo, this would be the first place I would take them to! This is the shopping street in the famous Sensoji Temple area with some cute local shopping! It’s a great place to introduce someone new to the Japanese culture! Swipe to see me relish tiny versions of kinako mochi (Japanese rice cake with roasted soybean flour)😋 Have you ever had mochi? What’s your favorite kind?! (mask was very briefly removed for the photo)
Aahh I found my favorite spot!!✨ This park has got to be one of the most underrated parks in Tokyo! It’s super calm and relaxing, and would make a great picnic spot🧺 You get a view of the Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo’s skyline and Tokyo Tower!🗼 10/10 recommend! This place reminded me of NYC’s Brooklyn Bridge area. Do you see it?
some more of Chinatown!!✨ There’s a different vibe to Chinatown and I love it! I’m honestly just so grateful for all the opportunities I have had to explore and experience different cultures! If you have the opportunity to experience a culture in any way or form, I would 100% recommend that you do so!! Which culture do you really want to learn more about? #rakutentravel #girlstraveler
had to take advantage of a chill zoom university week and explore!🏙 I honestly didn’t realize there’s so much to see in Yokohama! I had so much fun with @kcmaries showing me around and trying out creative ways of taking photos with me🙈 fun fact: we’ve been friends since kindergarten - 16 years!!🥰✨ Are you still in touch with your kindergarten friends? #lifeinjapan #japanblog
There’s always gonna be a Chinatown🏮✨ Somehow, this was my first time exploring Yokohama’s Chinatown and I was amazed by how beautiful it was! The vibrant colors and the detail of the designs on every structure😍 I love how every culture has its own unique architectural style! If you have a local Chinatown, what’s your favorite thing about it?
oh the good old days when this online semester wasn’t kicking my butt😌 This trip to the Izu Peninsula🚙🗻 was one of my favorite getaways during this pandemic🥰 If you know me, you know that I love adventures and when I heard we were going to go ziplining, I got so excited!! The adrenaline I got from the fresh air and being surrounded by a spectacular view >>> Also, the woman who helped me with the ziplining gear spoke Spanish so I practiced my limited skills with her hehe🙈 What’s your favorite adventurous activity? (I loveee river rafting🌊)
back with another fuji view🗻 I miss summer and road tripping!! Driving on the Izu Peninsula, you’re bound to come across viewing spots of Mt. Fuji! Also, my dad turned on the headlights for better ✨lighting✨ In desperate times, you gotta teach your family photography skills📸 Who’s your current designated photographer? Did you have to teach them how to get the job done?😂
here we have another view of Mt. Fuji and Mishima Skywalk✨ Walking on the suspension bridge was so refreshing! On one side we had the view of Shizuoka and mountains, and on the other side we had a forest!🌲 If you were wondering why my tee is so big, it’s because I borrowed/stole it from my dad🙈 just bruh girl things iykyk I’m curious, have you borrowed/stolen from your dad’s closet too??
it’s not a road trip if you don’t sit on the roof of the car🚙✨ Yes, that’s Mt. Fuji!!🗻 If you saw my previous posts, you may have read that I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji because of fog🌫, but I finally got to see it during this road trip!!🤩 If you don’t already know, Mt. Fuji is actually an active volcano which is usually covered with layers of snow❄️ You cant see the snow in this photo because during the summers, it all melts and trickles down into rivers💧 Just in case you were wondering, we once again provided a great deal of entertainment to the locals. Caught some of them taking photos of us as well😂
of course I went to another waterfall😌 The Kawazu Nanadaru is a series of seven waterfalls in Izu. Unfortunately, we had time for only one - Shokeidaru. This one was absolutely beautiful! The sound of water falling is honestly so relaxing😌 But, the water here was freezing cold🥶 I genuinely thought my legs would fall off😂 But, the water was so clear and fresh. I might’ve tasted it a little🙈😋 This was probably my favorite place from the weekend trip to Izu🤩 We got here through a spiral bridge called Kawazu Nanataki which was pretty cool! I miss this place already!! I wish I filled a bottle of water from here because it honestly tasted SO good! This is why we should keep our water bodies clean!!🌏 Do you think water from different places taste different? #travelgirlshub
back to hiking except this time it was with my post-quarantine legs🙈 Last weekend, I went on another weekend trip with my family friends to Izu-shi🚙 We hiked Mount Kintoki⛰on one of the days and were told it would be an easy trail, but some of us didn’t realize that our legs were no longer used to hiking😩 At one point, we all split and I was hiking all alone with my music. But, I genuinely thought it would never end because I passed by a signage that said I was 20 minutes away only to find another signage that said 20 minutes remaining😂 After a long hike and some rationing of our limited amount of water, we survived! And of course, we rewarded ourselves with a full meal of onigiri🍙 and biscuits! This hike was honestly much needed for my legs and brain🤪 Have your legs ever felt like jelly after a hike? #rakutentravel
just wanted to say, wear a mask!!🤩 Yes, it gets sweaty and gross in the heat. But, you can always go to an empty area and fix that! If you forget your mask, but wear earrings, and have a paper napkin with you, pin the napkin with your earrings to make a DIY covering. I learned it from tiktok😬 this is a random spot @itsmikasf and I found in Ueno Park near the Toshogu Shrine😌 Just curious, have you had a funny mask experience? For me, it’s just smiling at someone and forgetting that they can’t see me smile🙃
The local Fushimi Inari Shrine⛩ After eating a full meal of ramen🍜 , gyozas, and boba, we went to the Ueno Park and stopped by at this small shrine with a line of torii gates. They always remind me of the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto (Japan’s previous capital). I’ve always wanted to visit, but never got the chance to. My plan for the summer☀️ was to explore Japan, and finally visit Kyoto. But, due to the circumstances, I had to improvise and stick to Tokyo’s local spots and a few places in the neighboring prefectures🗾 Do you know of the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto? And, have you ever been?
pretending to be a tourist because we don’t see them anymore🤷🏽♀️ I’ve lived in Japan my whole life and grew up going to Ueno Park very often, but for some reason I had never been to this shrine before🤦🏽♀️ The Toshogu Shrine located inside of Ueno Park was built in 1627 (renovated in 1651). This shrine has been through numerous wars and earthquakes, which is so fascinating to me! You can also find the ‘The Flame of Hiroshima and Nagasaki', which will keep burning until all nuclear weapons are abolished and peace is achieved☮️ Do you feel like you haven’t explored the country/city you live in as much as other places you’ve travelled to?🤔 #desiinfluencer
watermelon sugar hiGH🍉🍉🍉 I saw the opportunity and took it for the beautiful @harrystyles 🥰 After a trip to the waterfalls💧with my family friends, we stopped by at a random private backyard listed on Google where a super sweet Japanese lady generously let us to use her space😌 As some of you may relate, brown people never go on a trip without bringing along a full meal😋 So, along with a variety of food options, we also brought huge watermelons🍉 with us. Thanks to the uncles (you may have seen them in my iconic Reel) who cut fresh watermelons for giving me this photo opportunity😂 Have you ever had to eat desi food even while visiting a new country with your family?😅 As promised, s/o to @saransh65 for this📸 #desiinfluencer
ya girl is back again with another underrated waterfall in japan!!🌿💧 The Awamata Falls in Chiba are pretty different to the other waterfalls I’ve been to💦 My experience at this one consisted of slipping a few times on the algae-covered rocks and dropping my phone📱a couple of time in the water🙈 But, the only thing that mattered to me was increasing my serotonin levels by feeling the natural water flowing down the rocks😆 I also had so much fun spending time with some of my family friends after so long, and doing a few adventurous things😅👀 I’d love to visit this place again in the Fall with the leaves changing colors🍁🍂 Do waterfalls make you happy and increase your serotonin levels?☺️ #travelgirlshub
talk about going with the flow🌊 my family loves exploring so whenever we get the chance, we look for underrated places to visit. not too far of a drive🚙 from Tokyo, Nagatoro town has been designated as Saitama prefecture’s nature park🌿The rocks, the river, and tiny waterfall made it a perfect spot for some nature✨ Do you enjoy underrated places or touristy places more? shoutout to my parents for improving their photography skills📸❤️ #desiinfluencer
lake hair, don’t care💁🏽♀️ A boat ride at Lake Kawaguchi is a must🚣♀️ Since there were pretty much no tourists, boat owners were quite happy to see our entertaining selves wanting a ride😆 On most days, you can get a beautiful view of mt. fuji🗻 but, we were blessed with yet another day of fog🌫 Even though our hair got really tangled at the end of the ride, the refreshing feeling and funny photos of our hair flying everywhere made it worth the mess😆 Have you seen Mt. Fuji yet?🗻 #desiinfluencer
water-falling in love with Japan’s nature🇯🇵 the shiraito falls💦 are located near mt. fuji🗻 and the water flowing comes from the volcano’s spring water. not to far away is otodome falls💧fed by the snow❄️ melting from mt. fuji and is just as beautiful as this one!✨ our drive🚙 here was super difficult because of how foggy🌫 it got on the way (literally couldn’t see anything even 10m ahead of me😩) and the road🛣 was super narrow too. of course, I got tailgated by locals🤦🏽♀️🙃 but all that mattered was we got there safely!🙆🏽♀️ where’s your favorite waterfall?
nature never goes out of style🏞 on day two of the road trip🚙, we went to Lake Kawaguchiko and were hoping we would get to see Mt. Fuji🏔 but once again, it was too foggy. The view was beautiful regardless🤩 if you had to choose one, city or countryside? 📸: @mansislens #desiinfluencer
gotta live life in full bloom🙌🏽 what’s your favorite flower?
windows down, music up🎶 on the first day of our road trip🚙, we had a whole photoshoot📸 with the car and everyone around us was truly amused/entertained😂 #desiinfluencer
