This is my second Christmas in London ever. One of my favourite cuisines EVER is Italian! (Whose isnโt it?) ๐ฎ๐น Itโs Italian Cuisine Week and #ItalianTaste is what itโs all about! ๐ In collaboration with @italianembassyinuk I have been asked to showcase some of my favourite Italian eats! ๐ A healthy Mediterranean diet can boost our immune system, so Iโd like to share one of my easiest, go-to Italian recipes with you, thatโs not only insanely delicious, but super good for you too.๐๐ผ Fresh tagliatelle, broccoli and Gorgonzola DOP paired with nuts to create a heartwarming pasta dish that benefits you in all aspects- Gorgonzola is very rich in vitamin B2, B6, B12, broccoli is packed with protein, fibre and vitamins, walnuts and garlic are miraculous in their own ways too... As for pasta, itโs common knowledge that pasta is LIFE! ๐๐ป ๐ฅฆGorgonzola & Broccoli Tagliatelle๐ 300gr fresh tagliatelle pasta 150gr Gorgonzola DOP 1 pack tender broccoli florets- about 200gr 150gr walnuts 4 tbsp olive oil 1 lemon 1 clove fresh dried garlic- optional Salt, pepper 1. Wash and trim the broccoli, leaving only the florets and 1-2 cm of the stalk. 2. Roughly chop the walnuts. Cube the Gorgonzola. 3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fresh pasta as well as the broccoli florets and boil for 3-4 minutes. 4. At the same time, add the olive oil to a large frying pan and if using, the fresh garlic- sliced into thin wedges. Sauteฬe for 2 minutes and add the chopped walnuts. Lower the heat and let brown for 2 more minutes. 5. As soon as the pasta and florets are done, return heat to highest setting, take about 6 tablespoonfuls of the pasta water and add it to the walnuts and garlic. Drain the pasta and add to pan, as well as the cubed Gorgonzola. 6. Stir gently, until the cheese melts almost completely. Serve immediately and sprinkle each plate with freshly grated lemon zest and pepper.
