I forgot to post yesterday because it was my birthday and I was busy basking in the light of my fleeting youth. 😂 Man guys, getting older is such a joy. Every year made safely around the sun brings a really pointed sense of accomplishment. This year is shaping up to be the busiest ever and I am SO excited for the incredible business and personal journeys I’m embarking on. OH! It’s also the tenth anniversary of my business, so y’all better get ready for some RIDICULOUS giveaways, exciting shoots, and tons and tons of gorgeous pics. Thanks for supporting me for so long, I love you all so insanely much! Cheers to another year of shenanigans!! 🥂🍻
Hey friends! WE’RE BACK!!! Come check out my Wedding Wednesday Blog; a bi-weekly written series covering all things wedding planning and wedding photography! 💎💙💍 (Link in bio!)
I can’t wait for winter to pass so we can get to beautiful spring weddings with amazing light and MUCH more agreeable temperatures. When I got to @rubyhillevents for this wedding I was this try and thought “YUP! Definitely taking photos there later” I couldn’t have been more happy with how it turned out :) Shot for @davidnsachs
Naturally lit, breathtakingly beautiful bride. I just LOVED the old vintage vibe of this bridal sweet. The huge open window for this part of the wedding day was just perfect 👌🏼. If there’s ever one thing I hope for when shooting a wedding, it’s windows and natural lighting for the bride
Here’s a golden hour family session to brighten up your day :) Their little boy was having so much fun during this shoot. Some kids can be fussy and not wanting to have their picture taken but this little tyke was ALL for it. So much fun working with them 😊
Just something poetic about B&W photos. The clouds on this day really made these images have much more emotion. A photoshoot on a runway? Hell yeah! This’ll go down as one of my favorites👌🏼
Oh hey guys! It’s me, laughing and making a dumb face! LOL I had a really lovely day today for a myriad of reasons. I’m happy to be going into the weekend smiling and joyful! What are you guys looking forward to doing this weekend? 📷: @dakarai
That look, THAT look is the look everyone wants to see in their lifetime. Just pure joy to be looking into the eyes of the person you want to spend the rest of your life with 😍
NEVER in my life did I think I’d find myself in a position to travel all the way across the world to Zhangjiajie, China to capture someone’s wedding day. To travel there on its own is one hell of a thing but to travel all that way and to be trusted to capture someone’s wedding was SUCH a huge moment for my professional career. Can’t wait to go back one day 😉
As a photographer I LOVE natural lighting. Outdoors is a great for that obviously but when indoors it can be a little trickier. Too often in dark indoor spaces we need to use a flash but when I we a huge beautiful wall of windows, I take advantage! This here is a perfect example of that. The bride was lit up beautifully and she’s the focal point in this large beautiful hall. Sorry, just me geeking out on photography 😊 Taking photos at SF City Hall is great, it’s almost impossible to take a bad photo with how gorgeous the place is
OBSESSED with this shot! Just seems like a shot out of a Lord of the Rings movie or something. I know, NERD ALERT 🤓😂. The lighting is just so damn romantic. Love it!
If there is ONE thing I love more than anything when it comes to working with clients, it’s having a great personality. No boring “stand here, put your hand here”. No, this family was FUN! From beginning to end. Also, little mans outfit? Has more style than most people I know 😂
I still can’t get over how freakin great this session with Liza and Arri turned out. The fall colors were just wonderful. Can’t wait to do another session with these two in the future. So great to work with! Most of our session was full of laughs and fun but I love this moodier pic we did too 😍
In a sea of nothingness I found you. I know I’ve said this before but this couple is SO DAMN CUTE! Had so much fun during this session. Little chilly being on the coast but worth every single second and every single shot I got 📷
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a kick ass NYE (as much as possible since COVID🙄). You made it through that crap year and. Is it’s 2021. Hope it treats you well and I can’t wait to keep sharing my work with you :)
KEP’s New Year Goals (NOT resolutions) Authenticity. Sustained Health. Creative fulfillment. Enduring strength. Self improvement. These are open ended goals. Aspirations I absolutely plan to follow through on. WHY? Because if I do fall short? If I sometimes fail? If I can’t maintain every positive thing I desire to embody? That’s ok too. I don’t plan on painting myself into a corner. I DO resolve to never give up on myself and to always keep striving, even when shit is tough. That will ensure the best version of myself, no matter where I land. And that’s really all I can ask of myself. 🖤
It’s NYE! Time to party bitches!!!!!!! To all of my followers, thank you for being AWESOME! Thanks for supporting my photography. I hope to bring you some more epic photos coming in 2021. Have a fun and safe NYE!
It’s engagement season folks! Anyone know any lucky lovers out there who got proposed to over the holidays? Send me my way 😉 This photoshoot was a lot of fun, not only because the ocean/beach setting but I loved the couples unique style during this session 😍
Seriously y’all, this photo just melts my heart 😊. The little girls expression in grandpas arms is just the cutest damn thing I’ve seen in a while. Such a great family to get shot of :)
Golden hour with this BEAUTIFUL bride 😍😍😍 You can’t fake a smile like that. I just love golden hour, the way the light hits the skin and just makes a person glow with warm and moody tones. AHH, it’s just my fav!
Such a cute loving photo of these three. Little mans outfit is just out of control CUTENESS OVERLOAD!😊
Hey KEP fam! Hope y’all had an amazing Christmas yesterday and are still enjoying this 2020 holiday season with those you love :)
Anyone out there get engaged over the holiday season?! Let me know how, where it happened. I LOVE proposal stories 😊 I’d like to wish all of my loyal followers out there a merry Christmas and happy holiday! Love you all!
You just can’t fake this kind of happiness 😍 Under the veil shots are just SO damn dreamy! They can be romantic, fun, silly etc. The flowing veil in the wind, the feeling of privacy with your soulmate (minus the camera 😉) they just make for some gorgeous photos!
Let’s just walk and talk and laugh and stare into each other’s eyes and just ignore the fact that we’re freezing our asses off 😂 Coastal photo sessions are AMAZING, but they come at a cost. TOTALLY worth the cost of being cold when you see how amazing they turn out. I just absolutely love being on the beach shooting photos, hardly feels like work 😉
Boot brides are best kind of brides! Absolutely stunning and glowing bride. Nothing could wipe that gorgeous smile off of her face all day. That’s what happens when you meet the love of your life
“No winter is ever too cold if you have enough love” Truer words were never said! These lovely ladies were having fun and laughing from the get go. Wasn’t a problem staying warm with your favorite gals hugging you from every which way
It’s a great day for lush greens and gorgeous smiles from these two beautiful souls Can’t remember exactly what was said to bring out this reaction but I absolutely LOVE it😍
Honest question friends, is there anything more beautiful than photo shoots with the redwoods? Absolutely LOVE outdoor shoots but when there’s a beautiful redwood forest around it just speaks volumes. LOVE IT!😍
Pandemic or not, NOTHING on planet earth was gonna stop the love between Andrea and Aidalix! Such a lovely and touching photoshoot and so many epic locations including In-N-Out (how awesome it that?!🤤)
Absolutely in LOVE with the green tones in this photo 😍 I’ve been doing this a long time. Occasionally you might get a groom who doesn’t love having his photo taken ALL DAY. When this happens I’ll reach deep down into my bag of inappropriate shit to say and more often than not, it gets me a damn great smile. “60% of the time it works every time”😂
When he tries to claim he does the dishes more than you 😂 I kid, I kid. In all seriousness though, I can’t remember exactly what elicited this reaction from this gorgeous bride but it’s candid shots like this that I pride myself on. There is beauty and joy in candid shots. It’s not planned or forced, it’s just perfect 😍 if you’ve worked with me, you know exactly what I’m talking about
Lay flat photos are a damn art form. Don’t try and tell me otherwise 😂 It’s detail shots like these where I look at the camera after taking the photo to see how it turned out and go “yup. That’s perfect! Can’t wait to deliver these photos”😊. May seem silly to get so excited about a shot that doesn’t even have the couple but there’s something about the neatness and attention to detail that I find fascinating
If you ever get invited to an Indian wedding do NOT check mark the RSVP that you can’t make it. I repeat, YOU MUST GO! I can explain enough how beautiful and breathtaking an Indian wedding ceremony is. The colors, the energy, there really is nothing like it folks
Absolutely jaw dropping bride alert!🚨 Everything! From the long beautiful veil to the wonderful colored bouquet was just perfect👌🏼 Did I mention how amazing her dress and earrings are too? 😍
It's taken me three years to figure out how to frame up my own contribution to my TO BE series. I finally got it figured out, and boy oh boy, is it a year end wrap up for the ages. I hope you connect with it, I hope you find strength in it, I hope it inspires you, and I hope you know me better because of it. 🖤 *Link to the full blog in my profile*
Absolutely love this photo😍. I chose it for a couple reasons. 1. The couple is beautiful in it 2. The scenery, particularly their reflection. I mention the reflection because tomorrow I’ve got a special post dropping for my blog which looks back on 2020. Keep an eye out for it 😉
Nothing like a little JJ Abrams lens flare to get the bride & groom portraits started :) I just love how a little lens flare like this ads a little . . . well, flare 😂. Such a cool little detail and an easy affect to achieve. Give it a try next time you’re behind the lens yourself 👍🏼
