Love this maze created completely Independently by one of our grade 2 makers!
This word making game was created by one of my grade 2 students for a new baby in the family. “I want to help him learn to read!” Each square has letters on each side that can be turned to make different words. It took a lot of persistence to measure and drill the holes to fit the dowels through! So excited to see her vision come to life!
Our amazing science teacher has been working with grade 6 students on the “science of colour.” Today they used natural dyes to create their own unique artworks!
Rolling out the grade 2 toy designs! As an extension of our force and motion unit, grade 2 students had the opportunity to make their own moving toys! Stay tuned for more pictures of their amazing creations!

Grade 4 painting their ceramic pinch pot animals today! Then back to the kiln for our final firing!
Today we put the final touches on our kindergarten boardgames. Students wrote instructions so others would know how to play their games!
Busy grade 2 students creating their moving toys!
Taking our grade 1 light design to a whole other level! 💡💡💡 . . . One of my favourite things about steam is how students can come to projects in their own way. For this light design project some students took the project to a place I would never dream of! This student wanted her lights to spin around, so I gave her a motor, battery and wires and she was able I turn it on and apply it to her design!
🌈 Looking back to 5 years ago when my grade 2 students created an public artwork with over 80 painted rainbow rocks for the @arbutusgreenway with @van_biennale and @tonilatour #arbutusgreenway #rainbowrocksonthegreenway #publicart
